Album: Warriors Chant Helping Or Hurting

Hi this is my first thread so go nuts.

Is the "warriors, clap clap clap, warriors clap clap clap" chant helping when we are on the opposition try line, or does it help the defense get fired up?

My opinion from what I've seen with the Warriors and from origin 2 in Brisbane is that it puts off the attacking team whether the chant is for them or against them. It might have an unnerving effect on all the players on the field or something like that? Which makes it easy to bar up on D, but hard to make good sharp passes etc... when attacking.

I've also heard on the replays from Sunday vs the Storm a slow war cry type chant, of Waaaaarrioooooor in slowmo, with no clapping or banging hoardings, followed by some very sharp plays from Johnson and TL. I'm thinking this has a relaxing effect on the players and thus better chip kicks or spot passes etc.etc.... and less aggression from the opposition D.

Am I nuts or is this whats been happening out there? Cause the crowd is a powerful force of nature after all......
