Very well put. I was very confident going into this game with Egan on board so knew it would become tight as soon as he was ruled out, as you are right, he just controls that tempo so well.
I too am a bit confused by Lussick long stint, really feel CHT can offer more.
First things first, we needed that win badly so thank god we got it! That was one hell of a nerve wracking watch though, both teams wanted it badly.
Some other thoughts:
- There were some fing bewildering decisions both ways. It swung heavily to the Raiders early which I was steaming about...
Geezus this is depressing. But you knew they would target that edge once Capewell had to go there with Tauapiki off with an HIA, which was a fucking rort with Rapana being allowed to stay on! Fuming!
Some very odd calls so far that I just can’t take tbh.
Aside from that we just haven’t made the most of our chances before momentum and possession swung.
AFB being off makes a big difference. Hope he comes back on or we will struggle, we just have too many key guys missing.
Very nervous!
Refereeing has been appalling this game. Im
Not one to usually knock refs but it has been shithouse. There was no forward pass there.
He even had to ask upstairs whether we got the ball back after they lost it over the line! Geezus have mercy on us
Very hypothetical and tongue in cheek question here...
If Webby has a successful run here as coach, will he go down as the most liked Aussie to have graced our shores? Clearly Steve Price still holds that mantle, but geez the public are enamoured with this guy (and rightly so).
Certainly if...
Really enjoyed that interview to be honest. He came across as mature and grateful for his experience here.
Acknowledged some of his short comings at the time, but still clearly loves the club and the place.
28-12 today fellas. I think we will switch on and make it happen.
I had confidence last week that they would do the job, only to be undone with some freakish plays and unlucky bounces of the ball in the last few minutes. I think we kick on from here though.
I'm pleased to see Jazz in there...
Like most of you I’m slowly coming to terms with it after initially being in shock at those last few mins. Hell of a game and hats off to the boys for that second half effort.
Similar sentiment to many:l but some thoughts:
- Agree re: Tuaupiki, he definitely has improved each time he’s been...
