The North Queensland Cowboys have named an unchanged line-up for their clash with the Warriors on Saturday night.

Unlike the majority on here I am happy with that team.
Too many injury forced changes in the opening rounds have created havoc and combinations did not click.
The last game showed the boys are beginning to gel and settle as a team so good on Cappy for not changing a winning team.
Have a good feeling that this team will prevail on Saturday.

I tend to agree with sticking with the combinations at this stage. The experience these young guys get is the payoff - and they will at some point need to get used to the rigours of travelling and playing in tough conditions like NQ.

The Cows will be tough to beat, but we've done it before against the odds...

I wouldn't bet money on the Warriors this weekend, but seeing as they usually go against the bookies that might be a good omen...

I want to see Peyroux come on at lock so Mannering can replace Bodene and actually run at some gaps.

Very tough game. One thing for sure is that the Cowboys play for 80 minutes. They would play for 200 minutes if they had do.

We already know our forward pack will go well, more than likely dominate as they have done just about every game. Key here is ball retention and execution in the 20. I'd much rather have a repeat set than a miracle pass go to ground.

Definitely winnable but will probably be our toughest game of the year.

Biggest disappointment is that we'll be getting the Fox sports B team again, with Vossy calling the Titans / Panthers instead.

Or just give the ball to Hurrell in those moments.

I'm of the same thinking bro.

Good to reward players for winning.

    Lots discussed about the forwards.

Last year Rapira was raging bull when Matulino got taken out.

Johnson was a defensive beast, he had a hard on for hitting Thurston, this is a good chance for Johnson defensively he has been excellent this season, he should give Thurston a hard time again based on his defensive form.

The battle between Thurston and SJ will be good but i would have Hurrell run a few early plays at him as well and just run over the top of him 2 or 3 times.

In games where the warriors have done well against the superstar teams they look like they have assigned a watch dog to certain individual players. Benry was very good at this role and quick at closing down plays before they got going. Wonder if Bodene can do this?

Called back for an earlier infringement but here's a nice bit of finishing that would be great to see against the Cowboys

Because everyone in the game is having a collective circle jerk over JT and his 250 (probably deserved), we're not getting much attention so unless we're beaten 50-0 there'll be no time for the media to rib us.

Winning up there is rare. Somehow we did it last year, I just can't see it happening this week. If we play like we did in that 4 try burst last week we're unstoppable - but we give away penalties and drop the ball too much to keep that up. Cows are on fire, we are not. They have to lose sometime, but if we manage to win this week it would be a massive result.

Yeah, not expecting a win this week, but would take a pleasant surprise. If we do lose as long as it's small then there won't be too much damage done.

Does anybody have any goss regarding why Vossy doesn't call our games anymore?

Maybe there isn't any goss. Maybe its purely because Fox Sport and all of Australia hate us so much that they've taken away our rights to one of the only Aussie commentators who actually isn't biased against us.

Now we're gonna be subject to that prick Anasta....oh fuck me. Even if the Warriors lead by 50 points this weekend, the Cowboys will always be in with a "chance" with that prick behind the mic...

It's almost if Fus does this for fun.

I'm certain most of his tries last season were scored in that fashion...

He only called our games last year because he was a freelancer and Sky NZ employed him... he now has a full-time gig with Fox and is one of their premier callers along with Warren Smith

Actually, I might back track what I originally posted.

So far Vossy has called 3 out of 7 Warriors games this season - both Rounds 1 and 2 away, plus round 4 at Mt Smart.

Yeah, it's simply his Fox Sport delegation. Would still prefer he called our games - makes listening to Daryl Halligan a bit more bearable because even he takes the piss out of him. And of course we aren't left with that wanabee Anasta....:bag:

You're got to hope/pray he was already committed to the "try scoring movement" and didn't decide just to continue with it and risk injuring himself again. But, would be great to see that sort of action from him back in FG!
