I do miss your point because it seems to me like you are saying they should have tried to keep Matulino if they want forwards.

I'm not convinced Matulino is fully fit to be honest, I think we have rushed him back because our forward pack is mud.

Well it will be interesting to see "WHO" they come up with "if" they choose the 3 forwards
In my opinion Mutts would make 1 of those 3 everyday.
If they choose to go for the marquee half then we're pretty much fucked aye?

To be fair to Mutts, he should have been eased back in or introduced after some game time in reserves. Making a big fan fare about this 200th game and throwing him into the starting line up is setting him up to fail. I'd be pretty annoyed at SK for doing that to be honest. Its amaeturish some of these decisions made by the management team.

Now we're all shitting on Mutts when it might not have been his fault.

Mutts doesn't want to be here and the way he's been playing shows that, so what's the point in giving him more money for what has been a whole bunch of shite for the last 2 years?

Definitely no half but Matulino has promised much and delivered little for the majority of his career at the Warriors. This isnt the club for him, like many of the senior players he has had his time at the Warriors and in that time the Warriors have failed.

What? Mate you're confusing Mutts with Shuan Johnson.

So good is he that some people name themselves after him - cue Matulino's Left Shoulder and Matulino#1.

How many Shuan Johnsons, Princesses we have here? None.

You could say that about much of the team
It seems the better the player the more the expectation we have of the player
If he doesn't meet that expectation he gets put in the "this is not the club for him" catagory

And definately no half is not your choice, you've got no say in that
But what i'm saying is "if" that is the road they go down , then losing Mutts really won't make any sense at all.

I think you will find those guys have had those names for 6+ years now, they are based on promise, not delivery

shaunjohnson and sj7 come to mind

He was voted player of the year in 2015, our best forward and not many looked that enthused playing under Cappy for a second year 2016 anyway.

He was an ace in the pack but he became a discard, sadly. Hard to see him setting the Tigers on fire but good luck to him.

Thompson has his limitations, however with our forward stocks so depleted we really need to keep him - if not starting then he would be effective off the bench. Still gutted to see Matulino depart - I think too many people got bad attitude confused with introversion. However pleased for him to get a fresh start at the Tigers.

I think all of those 6 need to go. We can't have some players trying their hearts out only to have some players staying out late and getting stoned. It's not like any of the remaining six have set the world on fire lately...

Matulino has been playing well - it just isn't popular to highlight it on this forum because he's one of the scapegoats - for which there is now a long list however the club continues to get worse and worse.

    Na, he hasn't.

Looks lethargic, uninterested and appears to want to be anywhere but hear.

He's my namesake for many great years at the club but I'm glad he's going. Only part of the problem these days

I'd sooner see our junior forwards modelling themselves on Blair & Tohu than Lillyman/Matulino.

He's always looked uninterested - that's just his look. He's pumping out good metres and doing a far better job at prop then anyone we have in our stable for next year.

Not a high bar to clear. We genuinely have the worst pack in the comp.
