    Kemble v2.0

NZRL have to decide if they want to win the WC and that's not going to happen with Kidwell and co

Said from game 1 he wasn't up to it and if we kept him we'd be forfeiting our shot at the cup.

Too late to change now. We're not winning the cup.

Wasn't it Kidwell who spoke out against Kemble? I can see a scenario where the shoes on the other foot.

I think for test matches we have to bulk up on size. Our entire backline had the same physic, couldnt tell them apart half the time.

As for the pack, very little go-forward or intimidation. Taumalolo wasnt used well. Packer was the only forward showing any intensity.

Shit performance all round. Kidwell hasnt a clue.

Zero chance there's a change. You're basically bringing in a coach cold for the WC.

Either option is doomed to fail.

Too late to change coach now ... we all know hes out of his depth .. bring in someone like Bellamy to help. Same as Kearney and Bennett in the 2008 WC

Coaching internationals has very little to do with actual coaching and everything to do with hyping the team up inside a very short timeframe for a limited number of games...Kidwell may have made a mistake with his assistant coaching selections, but to say he's mud or a genius based off Internationals is a mistake. Bluey would probably still be the best choice for Kiwi coach.

    NRL coaching is real coaching.

Call it coaching, hyping or cheerleading for all I care, 0-5 for DK would suggest he's not working.

The problem for DK and his lack of experience is you dont know what you dont know meaning he has no reference point, no muscle memory, nothing to fall back on, he's quite clearly out of his depth.

Paul Green needs to come in if DK is to build anything long term with the Kiwis, the same way Bennett came in for Kearney way back when because as it stands I don't see him coaching the Kiwis past the World Cup.

I have reservations about our ability to beat England and Samoa at this point.

True he's not working, but as i said, rep coaching is a very poor indicator of true coaching ability.

You'll never see Meninga coach NRL again because he's shit, but he's obviously fantastic at lifting players for small windows of time in the rep arena.

Bellamy may be the finest coach we've ever seen, but his rep coaching stints were pretty average.

I dont really give a shit about Kidwell, but writing him off based on rep footy is harsh.

No man management skills what so ever, crap selections, needs to go asap, this teams gone backwards since he's taken over, this team doesn't inspire fear, all the hard work last few years getting this team competitive has all but disappear... Get Paul Green

International coaches or rep coaches are not teaching players the basics of the game.

Its more a cultivating a pride for the jersey, this is some that Meninga is very good at and dare I say it Bluey during his reign as a kiwis coach.

Coaching at club level takes a different level of skill.

Bennett, Gould, Fulton are couple who have been successful at both.

So we need us a legend. Someone who the boys idolise and don't want to let down. Someone who can pump up the mana and give them the fire in the belly. If it's Mal for them who is the NZ equivalent?

Graham Lowe... you just know his opinion piece in the paper ripping the kiwis a new one is coming

Always thoughI Richie Blackmore would have made a great coach...seemed to be going well and then fell off the face of the earth?

We need to get an Aussie Coach.

If we want the best NZ coach on the market we're screwed.

We should be looking for the best coach on the market period.

That's the real secret to the Kangroos enduring success. They always try to pick the best coach in the world (for this format) and we always seem to pick the 45th, or worse, ranked coach in the world.
