Warriors vs Titans Gameday Chatter [Round 2, 2018]
Hey does anyone know where you can watch replays of matches if you don't have sky in NZ?
Last year you could watch NRL replays on NRL site after a few days or so. But looks like you can't do that yet, unless I just need to wait longer. Was working on the night of rd1 so couldn't watch it with my mates like I normally do
Would be keen to see the ISP replays too, to see how our reserves are going.

DRAGONS V BRONCOS
Thursday, March 8, at Jubilee Oval, 7:50pm (AEDT)
Dragons mail: Matt Dufty will start at fullback with Tariq Sims to fill the void in the backrow left by Manly recruit Joel Thompson.
Broncos mail: Jamayne Isaako will start on the wing with Jordan Kahu playing centre. The Courier Mail is reporting Sam Thaiday will start at hooker as cover for Andrew McCullough who is returning from an ACL injury.
KNIGHTS V SEA EAGLES
Friday, March 9, at McDonald Jones Stadium, 6pm (AEDT)
Knights mail: Mitch Barnett returns from injury to start at lock. Slade Griffin gets the nod as starting hooker with Danny Levi on the bench.
Sea Eagles mail: Lachlan Croker will start in the halves alongside Daly Cherry-Evans. Matt Wright is believed to have the edge on Brad Parker to fill the...
WithNate Roache now confirmed as out for the season , the back up hooker to Issac Luke will be interesting:
Sam Cooke - seems to have this spot cemented for round 1. I watched him play a bit in the lower grades and thought he was an adequate footballer, but has had a solid off season and has the backing of Steve Kearney. I thought he was very average in the Storm game with sloppy service but bounced back against the Titans. Is his defence up to it?
Mania Cherrington - Has dropped down further in the rankings which is a surprise as was knocking on the first grade door last year. He was a stand out for the reserves last year
Karl Lawton - like a good comedian, timing is everything and he has arrived into Akld at the right time.
Jazz Tevita - we all know he can swear, having seen...
Titans utility signed and two players upgraded
Thu 1 Mar 2018, 03:09 PM
Gold Coast utility Karl Lawton has today been signed by the Vodafone Warriors while hooker Sam Cook and highly-promising fullback Hayze Perham have had their contracts upgraded ahead of the 2018 NRL season starting next week.
Vodafone Warriors general manager football Brian Smith said Cook and Perham had been rewarded for their performances in the preseason and the club’s NRL trials while the 22-year-old Lawton has been secured on a two-year deal.
Capable of playing in the outside backs, hooker and loose forward, Lawton has made 12 NRL appearances since his debut against the Vodafone Warriors in 2016, an occasion which ended in disappointment when he broke his leg.
He recovered to turn out 11...
Hi all i wanted to start a discussion on what Strategy you would like to see the warriors employ to beat each team weekly.
I got the idea from reading this article:
Stat Attack: The glaring chink in Rabbitohs' defensive armour
in short according to the article the Bunnies are crap at defending attacking kicks. Now this may be because of their traditionally large pack and happiness to give up a penalty to stop a try, meaning that its a way to get around them, or maybe they just dont scramble well.
If i was SK and knew about this (as im sure he does) I would be drafting a strategy to take advantage of it. My concern is that Ken is not showing reliable hands, which means that...

Running a new season competition to get us off on the right note. Most will be familiar with this comp which we run annually. Rules are simple.

All players must be named 1-17 in exactly the order they play on Saturday (10/02/18). If a player is named #18 in the #4 spot they will be considered as #4. Order is more important than number.

This will be interesting to see. From the NZ Herald this morning.
NRL: Gritty Warriors documentary will give fans a behind the scenes look into the club's pre-season
The Warriors training ethic and methods have long been questioned by fans and critics but a gritty new documentary reveals the work the NRL club has put in towards achieving success after six seasons of bitter disappointment.
Sky Sports have been given unprecedented access into the club's inner sanctum to film a raw and largely uncensored two-part documentary titled Pre-Season With The Warriors, that goes behind the scenes showing the efforts gone to by the players, coaching staff and management in preparing for their upcoming premiership campaign.
Fans will enjoy seeing exactly how hard the players have been made to...
Johnson wants to bring back 'Warriors football'
It was the term that once made them one of the most entertaining sides to watch and halfback Shaun Johnson promises a return to "Warriors football" following a lacklustre 2017.
Several of the Warriors' stats last season point to them being a top-four, or at least a top-eight side, which they have not been since their 2011 grand final appearance.
In areas that would please any NRL coach, they finished last season with the highest overall completion rate at 79.7%, and the equal-fewest errors with 225 (9.4 per game) - ahead of even the ever-disciplined Melbourne Storm in both categories.
The Warriors averaged the fifth-most metres gained...
How far each NRL club will travel in 2018
Fri 9 Feb 2018, 04:00 PM
It's no secret the NRL's only New Zealand-based club has the heaviest travel burden but NRL.com Stats can reveal exactly how the Warriors fare compared to the other 15 teams in the travel department.
Stephen Kearney's men will jet a total of 59,605 kilometres this year – 20,000km more than the next most (North Queensland's 39,905km), about triple the NRL average of 20,406km and roughly five times what a typical Sydney club faces across the 25 rounds of the regular season.
Former Warriors mentor Matt Elliott explained to NRL.com the unique challenges faced by the club, which not only has the burden of distance but the headache of clearing customs twice in every away trip.
Elliott compared that process to his time at...

Basically the club are trying to engage with fans more and try get more people to become members, get along to games and improve the game day experience of fans.
Any useful relevant comments and ideas will be raised on your behalf with Warriors Fan Engagement Manager Aaron Lawton and CEO Cameron George at an upcoming meeting
