Heard on radio sport, Chris Boyd (hurricanes coach) said he was so unfit when he came to them it's taken a couple of years to get him upto a good standard. So my question is what the fuck is Ruben Wiki doing?

The season he switched to union was disrupted with a knee reconstruction. I am pretty sure he was out for a few games with a bad knee and maybe played one game before being ruled out for the season. So before he went to play in the NPC he would have gone through rehab and just started getting his fitness up. So him being out of shape isn't really a Warriors probably more a matter of timing.

A professional stays as fit as possible no matter what.

I remember years decades ago when Hugh McGahan was playing for the Roosters. He came home for the Christmas break but was in the gym every day, we know what a lot of Warriors do during a break and I don't know but what was Laumape doing?

No matter what we all need Laumape to have a blinder tonight.

Great try before for the young fellow. But what makes me cringe mostly about him not being a Warrior anymore... the Lions were spreading the ball with space and extra numbers. He communicates with his outside mine, slides with pace and nails his man with ease. What a very good footballer.

Hmmm... wonder if the Warriors are thinking "Why didn't we put him in the centres?" Different games but roles are similar.

Wiki has done his dash, we need a breaker of men as our head trainer.

Not one the boys hit the kavas up with after.

Does Laumape have the record for most tests played for the All Blacks without a win?

Common myth that cheerleaders got so wrong. Ruben Wiki is not our head trainer nor has he ever been. Not once has he ever run the show as so many like to say.

He helps out but still needs to run his own company, WikiLove.

Point your finger at Balin Cupples or Brendan Inkster. Both our full-time Athletic Performance and Strength, Power, and Rehab Coaches.

Both employed from outside the old boys network...

Dam, it was so much more enjoyable when I had a familiar face to blame.

Mate I can tell you that when Wiki was playing for the Raiders he broke the Warriors more times than I can shake a stick at. The guy was one of the fittest and toughest players in the competition, and from a very early age. Whatever might be wrong with the Warriors culture it wasn't what he brought back from Australia.

Wiki isn't head fitness coach - the club have given him a minor role almost out of charity.

If our players are unfit blame Kearney or Doyle - they run the show.

Ngani was always more suited to Union then league, I have said this a couple of times in here before.
How many times did we go on about him being too one dimensional, too small to just take a hit up, too "short" for a winger he was getting bombed.
At the time he left I thought I heard mention he was leaving for family reasons.
At the time he was here he was competing against Koni who was having a good run of form.
But they were too much alike to have on the field at the same time playing in the centres.
Would I wish him back at the warriors? No!
No regrets when he up and left either.
He is still too one dimensional but he's been able to display his talents better because Union defense is way different to league.
Hence he is more suited to Union then Rugby League...
I will be surprised if he is first choice once our centres are back from injury and suspension.
    Way to go Ngani Laumape!
