Lousi as 18th man, well Ropo won't make the defence any worse... And he is sticking to getting the youngsters more game time at NSW Cup, can't hate on it too much.

Which edge will JRo be on? You'd have to think right... but I'd prefer him on the left.

I really, really hope he's gotten a little pace back, since the trials, otherwise he is just going to get continually burnt.

That's a bit sad about the family bereavement for Sione. Tough time all round for him then.

Matt Elliot used exactly the same speech in last years post Paramatta game. I hoped he wouldn't but there it is...word for word ( can't be arsed typing it ).

So we lose some size off the bench when as ELliot pointed out , the middle was where we were our best ( totally agree )

So why not Gub or Ikahihifo....are we going to add some more tackling to the already solid middle defence.......

More Likely Henry is there to cover Jerome if that goes pear shaped and can contribute to the forwards in the mean time.

Playing him at half last week made no sense to me at all.....it mirrored getting Elijah prepped for Hooking fill in roles.

The club plan is meant to be selecting players in the NSW Cup side in their Fg positions.

Lastly I don't think Elliot had much choice on Hurrell , we have to fix the problems in player mindsets , if we miss Hurrells contribution, that's his fault.

Anyone seen the video, on the warriors website?

Apparently Lousi was not considered due to a family bereavement, why is he 18th man then?

    JRo to be right centre.

Elliot ''Lousi out because of bereavment'' Why 18th..... Carlos "broken nose"
Sorry to hear about Lousis loss... but pretty sure he would have been dropped regardless

Ive never heard Elliot dropping someone because of form.

Elliots got to start telling these players how it is.

You're right about Elliot protecting his players ego's
The only players he doesn't do that with are the least experienced who are not his favorites.
Matangi got a hard rap from Elliot last year....he went on about how he wasn't up to it off the ball.

These things won't be going un noticed by the Management who will be lining up plan Shaun Wayne for next year If Elliot can't deliver with that roster.

Don't st George have Beale and Morris on the left side? That's a fair bit of speed Ropo's got to handle

The Ropati selection is hardly a surprise. I'm not a fan of his but putting a fisher and paykel fridge/freezer at right centre wouldve been an improvement. There is logic to selecting your most experienced centre... But like many, i'm not a fan.

Lousi was probably going to be dropped but this allows him to save face... Fair enough.

Henry's selection is interesting and does provide flexibility/ versatility so once again, fairly logical.

Not the team i would've picked but the proof will be in the pudding.

Now who wins in a foot race?

    Fridge/Freezer or Ropati

Well at least he said JBros only strong point, "experience", not something outlandish like his strong D.

Hope he is solid, because if not, that side will be cut to ribbons.

He definitely has his favourites...seems very weak when it comes to the senior guys not performing. Getting tired of the 'I believe in this group'
They're going to put you out of a job shortly Mathew

What he says publicly and what he says to the players out of media will not be the same.
You can bet all the players not in the team know exactly why not.

Ropati back from my Broffessional Couch-Coach opinion but it is what it is...
hey & who knows he MAY just pull out something special

the same smooth talk that fooled Owen,Watson & co in the first place..

not a fan of Ropatis old legs being re-called back but it is what it is,who knows he might just suprise many & pull out something special........hope so!

It's probably the team I would have picked too, only because it's the same team that played in round 1. Carlos would have been the only person I would have discarded immediately, and he's unavailable thankfully. That team has to be given another chance to show us they're not absolute rubbish. If they're rubbish again, then changes need to be made.

Of course, if I had my own way...Simon would be playing 13 and we'd have someone else running on the fringes. Other than that, can't really justify bringing Hurrell or Laumape straight back in, though I wouldn't be persisting with J-Ro for too long, he's the past not the future..
