If you're in town than get down to the game and support the boys. If you cant make it than get the beers in and yell at the telly. Its game day.

Warriors play at home after two wins on the road against the Sharks and Eels and a much needed rest after a bye week. The six points from that period see us hanging in the top 8 of the ladder but with the table so congested we could easily drop out with a loss today.

We lose Thomas Leuluai for the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL.

Remember the games starts nil all. With Tomkins back after a long lay off I can't see everything clicking into place straight off. That is why completing sets putting pressure on the Knights with good field position will be the best way to go rather than being too expansive to start with and risking mistakes.

They have guys like Scott who will probably try and knock our spine players however they can. Our guys can't afford to have their focus knocked by such tactics. I am sure to regain credibility they will be willing to cop some guys on report. Refs don't seem willing to bench for late tackles.

The Knights have strike players like Uate who can take advantage of mistakes. They did lead 18-6 against the Broncos. Solid, no mistakes completions allied with good field position and defence will set the platform for a good win.

Agree Gizzy. Play smart first, show respect. If the Knights don't show up then put them to the sword, but if they do show up then we have to be ready to earn every point.

Great if we could get three good wins today (please!!!) - and, for the sake of my heart, can the boys please wrap the games up before 60 minutes and not 78 minutes - surely that's not too much to ask :)

The talk has been about next year, rightfully so, with such glorious signings. Now we have had 3 wins ( 1 being bye) on the trot, and in7th position. I feel, like most years, that this game needs to have some very convincing elements to it, to stamp our top 8 credentials, ala a Melbourne or a roosters team. Previously we have choked on this sort of occasion. If this happens again it tells us all we need to know. as will a emphatic win, with high percentage completions, high percentage plays, and effort that is noticeable from the first play. As a supporter know what I want to see, but realistic enough to know not to hold my breath.

A overcast 16 degrees in Auckland today. Be wet under foot with a high chance of banana peels...

Any players hoping for some highlights reel action to boost their careers shouldn't bother today. It's all about the dirty weather grind, and any player who fails to get into the grind is going to cop it from me...

Faarking pouring down in Auckland at the moment.

Rain or shine, we drop balls anyway.
It can only disrupt the Knights game plan.

I have the distinct impression that our team is really starting to gel and should kick on from our two away wins.
Concerns, 1. Jacob and the Hoff may suffer after SOO
    2. Wet under foot so someone please tell Pomkins to put long studs in.

13 plus. Warriors to thwart Knights a new one. Sam Tomkins to terrorise his opposite number on his first day back ... :)

Are we going to look back on Carlos and wonder how we ever let him get away?

Thanks for the local weather update. Completely agree with the above about playing tough and smart (respectful) early, but then going for the jugular if the Knights show fear or weakness. On the weather, our reshuffled team and the criticism they Knights have been coping during the week, I'm changing my pick to a close 1-12 win, which after the last 2 wins, I'm comfortable the boys can deliver. Of course, the lower score estimate could just reflect my usual growing nerves as kick-off approaches. The more optimistic about our team I am (and I'm feeling very optimistic atm), the more nervous I get. Go figure.

    FTS - Kata
    MoM - SJ
Predictions - all our starting forwards to make 100+, Tomkins to have a solid return (no drops at the back, decent kick returns, 1 try saver) and Havili to sneak over for a try from dummy half late in the game when we're on top.

"A guy like Beau Scott likes to Bully and muck up our plays," Matulino said. Too right he does, Mutts. Get him!

If Scott takes out SJ with anything less than a perfectly legal tackle, he should not be allowed to leave the stadium alive. I jest... of course... :troll:
