    Great news seeing Mannering named.

A nice stable line up. The opposite of the last few years where it seemed like there was constantly an injured player to replace.

Glad to see Mannering come back and off the bench at that. I imagine he'll come in at lock and push Blair to prop

Mannering is going to show what a great player he is. We haven't seen that for years because he has been propping up a bunch of duds. I cannot wait for Saturday, and SJ back as well!!!

Shane to see Gavet still out. Feels like we’re a forward short TBH.

Extremely pleased to see Paasi named. What a statement of character when he rattled the two Roosters at the end. He has power others don't have. Lisone has mobility so also welcomed. Although i will say Satae had a strong debut. I like Blair at prop but he was sensational at lock. So keep him there. Lovely to watch this team evolve.

A little surprised that Gelling is 17 and Sao 18

I’d say Sao will take Gelling’s place if he recovers from the head knock - I thought he’d just been dropped until one of our esteemed lurkers reminded me after work

Good team. Totally agree that Sao instead of Gelling if possible.

Kearney's given every indication Mannering will play left edge this season so don't be surprised to see Pulu get a stint in the middle at some stage.

Sao,, Lino, thanks for your service boys.

Pretty hard team to score against.

Gelling gets a ball playing backrow role and an option at center in case Rogers elbow gives way and Hiku slots to fullback.

Looking forward to Gavets return and Beales debut. Lawton too.

    Stalefish540 .....

I would say the thinking is Shecks elbow is ducked and SJ has a dodgy groin. So carrying a back on the bench for insurance??

Interesting that we have gone even lighter on the bench than ever before against the monster Cows pack.

Gonna run them to death then.

    Good.

Put pressure on JT1, contain JT2 and shut down Hess on the edge. If we can do that, we should be looking good.

It goes without saying that the boys need to turn up ready to play. Given the Cowboys 1-3 start, they will be looking to prove a point.

    Up the Warriors!

definitely feels as though we are a forward short on the bench. shame Gavet is still out, i would have left Satae or Sao on there for extra grunt. although a few of our starting forwards all have the ability to play in the middle or out wide. Pulu/Blair both offering options of playing prop. if that team stays as is i dare say Mannering comes on at 11 and Pulu then forms part of the propping rotation
