NZ Warriors Players item created by fanrrior, Aug 21, 2013
Manning would not be on "overs"...He's earns every penny he get's paid by the club.
He does but would he earn that at Melbourne.
all of the players in the Warriors and the Kiwis and they are having ago at Mannering !!
He should be the first picked in both sides ,no questions asked !
Yes. Easily... He would be classed as the big 4...they are trying to get j Bromwich as the fourth, but drug taking is not helping his cause...
So you would pick Mannering before taumalolo the reigning dally m player of the year the best forward in the game?
Shit i must of missed the part when Mannering was made an immortal.
People are on DRUGS if they believe Mannering is even a top 20 NRL forward yet alone an elite NRL player.
The guy out right can not attack, honestly guys he is a very good work horse but he is not an exceptional player as he basically is ultra ordinary ball in hand.
Warriors fan need to wake up - 6 years no finals will f@ck your brain up bad.
not an immortal, never will be, but neither will taumololo
no immortals are kiwis and never will be
taumololo has been good last 3 seasons, Mannering has been in the kiwis for 10, someone saying he might not get picked ? wow !
How do you know they never will be? I would take Tapine over Mannering, we need xfactor players who can break a game open. That is the only way we are going to be Australia, we aren't going to out tackle them.
Got to give it up to Mannering fans though as delusional as they are fuck their a loyal bunch haha
I am and i do
tapine over Mannering, so a guy that breaks the line a couple of times a gamer but will make about 20 tackles instead of 50, other guys are in the kiwis to break the line, its not mannerings job
we have xfactors, taumololo, tapau.......
and as for the immortals, no chance the aussies would ever put one of our boys in there
if meninga or sterling or lockyer arent immortals , there is no way our guys ever will be
one day im hope im wrong though !!
sorry getting abit of topic here lol !!
we have to be, there is nothing else in the warriors team to be excited about, that forward pack without Mannering is woeful !
I think some perspective is required on this, no-one would suggest Mannering is a great attacking player but he ain't the worst either.
If forwards are judged on meters gained as a key attacking stat then it might surprise that Mannering sits inside the top 20 forwards in the NRL for meters gained this year and while he hasn't brought out his offload much this season he does possess one, in 2015 he sat 4th on the NRL table only behind Cartwright, Matulino & Kasiano for offloads.
With the amount of cover defending he does and the share quantity of tackling he's made to do for the Warriors through the middle it's surprising he has anything left to give on attack so judging his game purely off the performance of the Warriors isn't justified imo.
If I recall correctly the last game he played for the Kiwis he ran for 120 meters made a line break and scored a try but then he didn't have to make 50 tackles in the middle of the park on that day.
So whats the forward pack with Mannering a little less woeful?
the warriors pack im talking about
People are on DRUGS if they believe Mannering is even a top 20 NRL forward yet alone an elite NRL player
Must be some good shit probably the same stuff mitchell pearce fans are on.
We are talking about the same pack question is are we talking about the same Simon Mannering because the guy you talk about sounds like a beast
haha beast is a slight exageration !
all i have said from the start is if he isnt picked in the kiwis its abit of a sham!
It would be the league equivalent of dropping buck.
Despite being a huge Mannering fan I have to admit if you're picking taumalolo at 13 you do have to question where Simon fits in.
He's not a bench player so he would have to start on an edge where imo he's not as suited anymore and there's also quite a bit of competition for spots- Harris, ma'u etc.
I'd have him in my team but I think it's a fair question.
Taumalolo can just play as a prop in tests.
