As bruce mentioned, Mannering was a no show at the Warriors training event for members yesterday.

Kata was also not at training yesterday so may also be ruled out for the game ???.

On a serious note- that's terrible news about Mannering.
Blair better step up and lead this pack- that's what he's on the big bucks for.
    Time to do the mahi.....

Ah crap. Simon Mannering is team. The man is NZ Warriors.

With him gone I hate to think how team is going to go now.

Get well soon Simon. Stay a legend ...

    :(

Truth that it’s a massive blow Simon Mannering is out especially round one, but maybe not a fatal blow!

Last years squad would get devoured up the middle with brittle defence, but it’s glass half full time, new squad with new middle and front line D, strong fit with a point to prove!

I still think we are lock n loaded and Simon comes in slightly fresher in a month.

We hold out with at least 2 wins until his return we are stronger than before.

Good luck boys time to shut up the haters and give the jumper some respect.

    PS Blake in for Kata

If it is in fact, a month,

    Saturday, 10 March 2018 RD1 RABBITOHS A
Not great, seeing as their strength is still in overpowering teams

    Saturday, 17 March 2018 RD2 TITANS H
Should be able to beat these jokers with or without Mannering, esp at home

    Saturday, 24 March 2018 RD3 RAIDERS A
This one stings as another team scrapping to get into the bottom part of the 8, and have beaten the crap out of us up front in recent games

    Saturday, 31 March 2018 RD4 ROOSTERS A
Probably not beating them in Sydney with or without Mannering, be a good game for him to return in though.

A 2-2 start to the season should be celebrated. Its a tough old season, there is like 2 games the whole year (titans at home, tigers at home) where i'd confidently say that's a win.

Any serious injuries we are cooked, no matter how fit the boys are, they need the top 17 playing.

Roache's back surgery rated a success

Nathaniel Roache’s operation to repair his lumbar disc injury has been rated a success.

The 21-year-old hooker’s season-ending setback was confirmed two weeks ago.

Vodafone Warriors head of performance Alex Corvo said Roache’s surgery had gone well.

While Roache isn’t expected to play again this season, prop Agnatius Paasi made an impressive return from his minor knee injury last weekend. He suffered a minor medial ligament strain early in the trial against the Melbourne Storm in Rotorua on February 17, marking his first full appearance of the season with 190 metres from 21 carries.
Paasi has again been included on the extended bench for the Vodafone Warriors' second-round NRL match against Gold Coast on Saturday (5.00pm kick-off) and has also been listed in the front row for Intrust Super Premiership side's encounter with Canterbury-Bankstown

    INJURY LIST

    Blake Ayshford | Back | Round 3

    Gerard Beale | Leg | Round 4

    Junior Pauga | Knee | Mid-season

    Simon Mannering | Shoulder | Week-to-week proposition

Nathaniel Roache | Back | Out for season

    King Vuniyayawa | Eye | Round 5

One post match article said he would be out several weeks. I googled what "several" means exactly and it is three or more. I am dubious how they can know this right after the match so I would say we will have to wait until tomorrow or Monday for a better indication.

I'd have Levi for sure. But I think Cherrington and Lawton are NRL quality, so I'd like to see them each given a shot before we attempt to plug a hole that may not exist.

Spoke with Karl Lawton at the game and he is out for at least two weeks with a shoulder injury...
