Yip never been the same since his neck injury a few seasons back. Hasn't played for basically the last 2 seasons due to injuries. Could be a cheap pick up considering he's signed to the Panthers till the end of 2019, meaning the Panthers would have to subsidise part of his contract for the next two years.

Good point, although I doubt Kearney needs to consult his manager on who to recruit.

I don't have any inside knowledge myself but according to a reliable poster on another forum apparently we've signed another player over the past 24 hrs - separate to Blair.

He's also saying an assistant coach isn't far off either.

Given the clubs recruitment issues, perhaps there was no other place to go?

Outside of Blair - Peta Hiku then?

Would make sense since he just got his release signed off on.

I was thinking it could be someone like JTS, he apparently had a contract in front of him.

Someone from the illawarra Cutters, flew in this arvo, with what looks like his mother and his agent in toe.

Once I get access to a computer I'll have a look at faces.

Could actually mean nothing, end of season etc.

    Who knows.

Would have been happy if it was Will Matthews from the Dragons, but he's signed for SuperLeague. Strong defender which would have added steel to the pack :(

Has Havili being playing for the Cutters? Their squad has only one Kiwi, and he is a centre.

Besides my spelling mistake, I assume it was his agent because he was in a suit, like I mentioned earlier it could be nothing.

    It's not Havili

    "What looks like..."

This is a commonly used phrase when a person is clearly guessing.

There should be an 'overwhelming relief' reaction option for posts like this. Thank god.

The Warriors wanted Lilyman to stay by all account but he wants to go elsewhere, not a good sign.

Wanted him to stay as in 'we'll continue to pay you what you are getting', or wanted him to stay, but at a reduce rate.

    It is all relative.

I see a clean start for the club as a positive sign. He would be a good player on the roster as 3rd-4th prop, but not as 1st-2nd

Etene Nanai has been selected in NZ Secondary Schools Rugby Squad, which is concerning considering they don't usually select players that have committed outside of union e.g. Isaiah Papalii not being selected last year despite being schoolboy player of the year and recent warriors signing Hayze Perham not being selected this year despite being a lock to make the squad and making the barbarians squad last year.
