Speaking of potential disasters
Koukash has been linked to Newcastle Knights for some time who fit the "non-Sydney club". But could just as easily be the Gold Coast or The Warriors.
The timing is suspicious to say the least and we would be an attractive proposition as we turn a profit.
Billionaire businessmen Marwan Koukash has left Salford but is he NRL bound?
After four years in charge of the Super League club, word from the UK is he has his eye on an NRL franchise.
The talk we’ve heard is around a non-Sydney club.

Its a huge step up from Super League to NRL, I for one am not convinced of his credentials
Yes Management 101 is to delegate, but if their is no one to delegate to you got to do what ya got to do. For all we know it may have been a directive from EW for Jim to do the role. And from what i`m seeing and hearing with Motu Tony possibly coming im not fizzing with confidence at all. just another example of a job for the boys. which until it stops and they get some people in there with a good solid NRL executive experience, we will continue to go around the round about
Holy shit that would be the end of the club if that happened.
I dont believe a word of it though there was rumours that Koukash was Davys real backer. If it is true we are fucked. Even bruce will be crying to bring Watson back after Koukash runs the place into the ground...
I will never be crying for Watson to come back, he hasn't gone yet anyway, and he would be encouraging people like Khourash to put the price up.
My guess is the Warriors could have had their pick of qualified Australian football managers or somebody like Wayne Smith. So there was no need for Doyle to do the job himself, apart from his ego. That is why I suspect Motu Tony is being lined up. The only leeway I would give Doyle this time is that he is letting Kearney try to be a Wayne Bennett and run the whole show himself. That in itself is big gamble because Wayne Bennett had a much better coaching record when he was given the job at Brisbane. If Kearney wasn't a Kiwi he would only be a head coach in the Super League.
bruce would be loving it. Would be expecting him to buy Carlaw Park......
He cannot afford it.
Club has been sold. Have no idea who the new owner is but some of their demands are already being actioned. Won't go into specifics but there's already been a few policy changes that have been put down to the "new owners" as quoted by Warriors management.
Thinking this won't be confirmed officially until the members forum but it's a done deal...
What Demands? Please do go into specifics, I’m intrigued.
Sorry bro. Slim chance it may out my source and the club ghost this site so I won't risk it...
Stick to your guns.....however is your source happy, sad or indifferent to the changes? Reason I'm asking as quite often when businesses change hands, it's BAU for most staff...i'm interested in how they feel about this?
No point asking I suppose, but does this include signing a decent prop?
That would certainly be a change in process!!
You're asking the club to get the basics right, so probably not.
Nice work Mt Wellington, we heard it first on this forum
I will be at the members forum to meet the new owners.
Pleased it is now over so the club can move forward.
I wonder who/they the new owners are?
Gez credit to the club for sorting out the sale outside of the public eye (I mean with no leaks)...hopefully its for the best.
They could copy the WWE and make it an anonymous owner and he/she communicates through a laptop.
I was told a few weeks ago that the club
Will be in a better shape under new owners.
