dead set. that's the dumbest thing I've read from you ever Bruce.

He's be #9 (better known as halfback/scrum half) for the All Blacks if he was a kiwi.

    take your meds.

His stats suggest otherwise, especially on carries. He has scored a few tries and can off load but he isn't worth raving about. I still maintain that hypothetically the Warriors would clean up in the Super League

Yes and hypothetically the warriors have the best spine and should be in the eight. Doesn't always work out that way. We have regressed so much in the last 5 years there is no way we could beat the top ESL teams.. that's how bad we are

What's everyone's thoughts on Luke Page from Burleigh Bears. Remember seeing his highlights a few years ago before being signed by the raiders. Looked an absolute beast. Just watched one of his Q cup games and he's still a damaging runner and hitter in D. We could def do worse.

Bulldogs shopping round Graham, Eastwood, Moybe and the Morris twins.

Could do with a couple of those names

If your gunna sign a 30something year old on the back end of thier career on a big money/long term deal its James Graham. He would bring more than Blair in my opinion.

He has a hard edge, he has a passion for winning, would bring a good work ethic for the rest of the pack to feed of. Hes EXACTLY what we need, how can the powers to be cant see this?!?

How you do you know that we aren't trying to. Graham wasn't exactly flattering when asked about the Warriors however

True, i dont know if they are or if they aren't. Yea but to be fair not a lot of people have flattering words for the warriors right now..... as much as it pains me to say.

Just watched the first half of the Broncos v the Sharks. Blair has had a strong game - he does bend the line, threantens the kicker, can pass decently, etc - he would be a big upgrade on this form.

I wouldn't be that unhappy with Blair on a 2 year deal, anymore and it's a no from me. We need props but not at the expense of the cap in 3 or 4 years.
Don't particularly like Blair as a prop but beggars can't be choosers and he seems like he has a good attitude and at least he might smash someone, on the opposition hopefully.

It's all about the price! The Broncos (with the TPAs) believe he is worth 300-400k of the salary cap, if you want to build a premiership winning roster. IF we over commit to him, we won't be able to offer decent coin to attract others or keep any talent from within that happens to make an impact.

It would be interesting to see how different successful clubs break down their cap eg 1 player at a million dollars 2 @ 700k. We have Johnson next season, the Broncos will have Bird and Milford at 1mill.

Where/How do we spend our money?

Based on this season by Blair and this season by us, I'd pay more than the Broncs. Don't see where the great players are to splash money on. He passes better than just about anyone we have.

No doubt we have to pay more than the broncos to attract the same players as we are not as attractive employment scenario, but anything beyond extra 50-100k or even worse big coin long term, you are just handicapping yourself for the future. It sounds like the Broncos are prepared to give Blair 700k over the next 2 seasons. Offer him a mill over 2, then you can see how he looks as a 34 year old, before giving him more. If the Knights offer is better, good luck.

We do not need to buy great players every year. Our GF squads contained 8-10 Aussies, who were mostly low profile looking for a better opportunity., just like Santo.
