Basically we need to sign 10 fringe FG players for next season. And hope 5 become full time FG players asap.

Is there already a thread for this? Just wondering what you guys reckon would be our best, optimal team to finish 9th next year ;)

Hes a novice and a wing, the problems start inside. If people defend better in field the winger isn't drawn in. New centres and forwards who can tackle and make good decisions fix that.. unless the coach just sucks

Let go of all the pretenders. If you can play defence you can't play in the NRL.

I'm calling bullshit on the idea that you can teach a player to defend but attack only comes from talent.

I don't think you can teach a player to defend. Either they can or the can't, just like with attack. You're born with the attitude or your not. All the coaches can do is help a player reach their potential.

So what we're seeing every week is guys with really low defensive potential running around pretending to be NRL players..

Hire guys who can defend at a 2:1 ratio to guys who can attack. They are much cheaper on the player market don't you know.

Money ball for 2018: Is he a good defender?
    Yes, he's hired.
    No, fuck off.

He's not the best defender in the comp but not many wingers are. Didn't look out of place when he was called on for us.

I would say his size is probably more of the reason why he didn't play more first grade considering how much we love our big wingers.

I think Etene Nanai will take a wing spot next season at some point. With 18 year old outside backs like Nick Cotric and Moses Suli cementing themselves in first grade, I see no reason why Nanai cannot do the same. Kata was a player I was reluctant to include, had a rubbish season but I'm banking on him getting back to near his best next season (although wouldn't be surprised if he didn't). Done with Isaac Luke and ready to move forward with Roache, hopefully we're starting to guage what teams are interested in taking Luke off our hands for next season. Obviously many holes in this team so hopefully they can cash in on teams struggling to get under the salary cap and poach a few players.

Huge call but than no one would have guessed that Isaiah Papali'i would get regular runs either.

Anyone been following Nanai in rugby???

Do you know if he's committed to the club for next year, I thought there were clauses for players under 18 to pull out if they chose to.

RTS - should do what his initials stand for... RETURN TO SENDER
Kata - just not sure about him
Johnson - Kimi Raikkonen left McLaren, went to Ferrari and became champion. Johnson has to leave to become a champion
Luke - people were saying Benji was past it, should retire.
Lillyman - lucky to play origin as long as he did IMO

Was wondering about Nanai earlier. SK reportedly wanted to use him in the Nines this year but couldn't because of age. Clearly rates him highly if that is the case.

I would like to see RTS on the wing.
RTS being given opportunities to open up as well as make opportunities himself could be great.
He and Maumalo could be another version of Meli and Faafili.
Powerhouse and the nippy fleet footed wing.

Santo , Fusitua or CNK would be more than able at Fullback.
A big ball playing brute or ball player in the back row would be good for us as well.

Some more Gavets will be a blessing.

One more game to go , 2017 has not gone to plan or process. lol

Look forward to 2018 , getting deleted for off topics and standing my ground or saying something stupid.lol
Watching us Warriors debate , agree to disagree , come together.

But at the end of the day.

We stand as Warriors through thick and thin.

    1-CNK 2-RTS 3-Ayshford 4-Fusitua 5-Maumalo 6-Hingano 7-SJ 8-Gavet 9-Roache 10-Vete 11-Thompson 12-Harris 13-Mannering .
    14-Lino 15-Lisone 16-Satae 17-Pulu 18th Man-Santo .
    From who we have .
