OK my first take is that you were concerned about the justice of it. But I probably misread. It wasn't just your post. There have been about ten posts expressing concern is getting gipped.
Which is nice that we are New Zealanders and that is part of our caring nature. I assure you other franchises fans would not express this concern. Roosters always get stars for unders. And their fans are fine with it.
OK we got JFH for unders. The first time ever the Warriors have gotten somebody for unders. Actually it isn't we have Shaun on Unders as well. Shaun nearly got the Dally M last year and he is a better player than JFH, even though they are different positions so hard to compare and Shaun is on less than $675K and no one is concerned about the justice for him even though he has a limited time in his playing career to set himself up for life.
It’s not about justice or even our opinions.
The market dictates the price.
For example I would be conservative in saying the Bulldogs would pay a million dollars to sign JFH.
But I won’t argue if that’s the number punted around I will be happy at 675k.
I just can’t see that number being accurate. That’s all I’ll say.

Oh OK is that the issue? Just the validity of the $675

According to this web site he is presently on $950K

Shaun wasn't at the time of his homing coming in the stratosphere JFH currently is in (Kiwi Captain, Golden Boot, 3 x Champ)

A good manager would know the Payne Hass contract, The AFB contact and the salary cap hole that leaves at the club.

A good manager would also be aware of what the club offered BHU. Why would they accept less money than an injury prone prop.

Just because two ex players think this is the amount I don't think we should take that verbatim.

Sure Team JFH approaching the club gives them more leverage - but halving the contract of the next two best props... I doubt it.

I also think the NRL investigate under's contract to keep the player market fair between the have and have nots clubs.

I think there are a couple of possibilities if the figure of $675k is correct.

1. As reported, JFH has asked for a release to move home to NZ due to family issues, wanting to raise his family at home, wanting to rep nz league and the warriors etc and agreed to take less money than currently on. Agreed that this may raise the eyebrows of the integrity unit.

2. As above, but when he contacted the warriors, they informed him of another imminent signing and said that $675k is the best they could do.

3. He is on $675k but has 3rd party deals signed as he is the current kiwis captain and there is a groundswell of support for league in nz currently.
