Yeah
A point I would make too
Our oldest players Rts Sj Tohu were out
Lowered our age profile
And introduced speed and unpredictability
Another thing I liked was Tmm kicking to different places on the field not our usual Sj kick to the opposition right winger
I think Ali picked up a little leg injury at the start but achieved anyway
Bunty in his last stint was defending strongly really putting effort and closing tackles
The only player a bit quiet was AFB injury maybe
Roach was great
Tmm stood up
CNK was all bustle and effort
Pompey is a professional league player not someone who marched off to Ru and came back on prior reputation
Monty and Dall were great
Taine another bundle of energy and did the fullback stuff great
Ford Barnett (very good) Ale Laban tick tick
De age the side add some unpredictability and speed and we beat the premiers
One of our top 20 wins since 95
And Jazz was immense and effective

judging from nrl.com, CHT is back next week. We also have a bunch of players coming back from injury in rd 14, including marata. So we just need to tough it out for one more game against the dolphins before we have more options to choose from. But I would persist with Barney on an edge: he offers so much more than Capewell.

Was Addin injured ?
Hurt his back from carrying everyone the last few weeks.

Jokes aside I'm not sure. I just thought they brought him off as they needed fresh legs towards the end. They probably had him on longer than normal to keep us in the game. Then needed to interchange him. May not have gone to plan as ideally he'd finish.

A smaller more mobile body in Tevaga may also have been what they were wanting to close out the game defensively.

That is all speculation on my part. As when he came off towards the end I was wandering why.

Who is Capewell?

Yes, he totally did. He could not have been any better and did all the dirty work, so I suspect you are right.

Barnett is so underrated. Such a gritty player. Love how he left Knights to get out of his comfort zone to challenge himself here with us. I hope he is rewarded with a NSW call up because he deserves it and it will go a long way in his decision to resign with us. To play SOO while being signed with us as to not being able to while with the knights would definitely weigh on his decision to stay with us.

Besides being a cheapskate people wander why I drag my kids to the NSW Cup games.

Partway through the first half my 8 year old start listing out the jersey numbers for Tuaupiki, Leiataua, Laban and Roache and says "Those are the guys from the NSW Cup games we've watched. Proud dad. Now I just need to work on them knowing their names.

Mind you I brought it up later at the dinner table and the same boy said "I have no idea what you are talking about and never will". He's not the brightest that one.

Seems like finally the rugby league gods gave us a break, finally the opposition played down a level, play in enough close games eventually one goes your way. was panicking they were going to find a reason to deny the TT try.

Full credit to the boys. Team selection would just be who is physically available for next week, rather than so and so has earned it. Ford would get suspended under the old rules, don’t know with the Mickey Mouse fine system, Egan will be stood down so that’s potentially 2 more players they have to find from somewhere.

Even bloody won with AFB doing shit all (was he sick?)

Might be some lessons to be learned about simplifying the attack, take it to the line center run into a hole but those holes weren’t there in other weeks, probably because they just ran ford into the man
