Arise Sir Jazz - maximum impact off the bench and a great source of inspiration to the team. We need to demand his contract be extended for next season.
He's playing like he wants to stay at the Warriors. He needs to continue this consistently. He has shown he's patchy.

I agree with Makasene Makasene that today's game wasn't sustainable. It required the Panthers to make a lot of mistakes. We need mobile edges and a good rotation.

TMM had a great game and his management was fantastic. My problem is his kicking distance. While he had the best on the field, he was against Luai and Cole, both have crap long kicking. Those last two sets you saw his lack of depth in his kicks.

Webby will have seen some great stuff today and it'll be an interesting Tuesday announcement.

What do we do about Capewell when he is back? He really has been mud. But for his coin and multi year offer they won't be dropping him.

He is taking an edge spot from Marata when he is back and Laban.

This win shows we have just lacked speed and intensity with our actions!
Unfortunately think Jake has been beefed up in the offseason to be a middle, so we won't be seeing him out there on the edge.

Big props to Roache who wasn't afraid to pass left.
YES !!! we grew some dimension to our game .. not so readable ...TOHU slow movement short-ball ... SJ for the bomb or run short pass RH side ..
It's like the boys had some freedom .. think if this line-up has more time together . .. Walker my MOM set the tone ... crazy as it might sound I think if not 100% SJ was playing we wouldn't have won that game

AFB wasn't his best game but still solid ...Leiataua was far from 100% injured ankle ???early more game time

Overall I think our speed was better right across the game .. and finally some hunger in Defense the Boys really seemed to gel better

I didn't see today's style as sustainable. It was a gutsy performance but to rely on that week in week out is fools gold.
Agreed. There was a reason Ivan was so salty in his press conference and it had nothing to do with being a sook.

Penrith were guilty of whats been hamstringing us the last 6 weeks with turnovers, errors, and penalties. Ivan knows they win their games by building pressure and they continuously released that pressure valve. We cant expect the opposition to do that every week.

However the big improvements for us was our controllables - defence and error rate. If we can keep building on that, confidence will slowly instill itself, and as our injured troops return into a team buliding confidence thats how we'll sustain some momentum.

Even if we dont get the win next week (and the Dolphins in the form their in are no pushovers) making sure we're hitting our KPIs in those areas will help set us up as we get players back and an upcoming origin period.

  • So much fun watching CNK condensing his energy into these short runs, frantic, dragging defenders in too
  • I was wrong about Roache, his bullet passes, holy crap, sped up the whole attack, Aaron Smith style straight off the deck
  • Pompey needs to keep unleashing his inner beast, he’s a big boy for contact
  • Jazz challenge WTF lol, don’t manipulate your bald bro captain
  • CNK would be a threat up in the front line, at the least if he goes back to FB he now will enjoy attacking on the left
  • Taine bombed a couple of possible tries on the right at the end of first half
  • Furiosa vs Bad Thor looks like a badass movie
  • CNK bombed a couple, some fine tuning we could be lethal
  • Some silk from TMM in the second half
  • TMM and CNK don’t need bodyguards, SJ and Metcalf probably do, CHT could be fine
  • If Ali didn’t run inside around 15th min would DWZ have beaten Edwards to score?
  • Roache with a dumb knock down to give them another set inside the 20m
  • CNK needs more games if he’s to play centre/6 to read the attack
  • Pompey taking a bomb and survived crashing into the post!
  • TMM got snubbed after taken out as a kicker twice
  • TMM ended up tackling To’o to stop the break because he was taken late, karma I guess
  • CNK stripped the ball after the knock on snub, ended up winning the game, don’t know if we would have defended 1 more set
  • DWZ was going nuts running from right to left to tell TMM and bros to stop hugging lol

That win will do wonders for the belief in our team that we can beat anyone. It also throws up a few interesting selection conundrums.

CHT comes straight back in to the halves. Prob at 6 outside TMM. But does CNK go straight back to fullback? Probably. But how do you leave out TT after that performance?

Lussick back - and given Egan will likely stand down due to concussion protocols, who starts? Got to go Roache after that performance. Or does CHT go to bench, leaving Lussick in Cup and CNK staying at 6?

Similarly, post the bye, we have a huge number of troops back on deck. Marata!!!! Capewell SJ Tohu Sifakula and Berry.

How do you leave out Ali L after yesterday? Played injured but looked great.

Webby can sort all that out.

But heck - win against the Dolphins at home, take a bye and reset for a big back half of the season, hopefully without too many players out for long periods for the rest of the year.

Next round is CRUCIAL.
Game on. Game f$&king on.

Did I also see Dylan run into the back of Laban (or was it the other way round?) with the line open, had to go back into the ruck traffic? Was at about 15 to go? Plenty of points left out there
