Not sure either scenario re win/lose
But wonder if another franchise isn't a really good idea. Relieves the pressure of being the only show in town without earning it & creates a kiwi rivalry that, while it might not be Sydneyesque numbers-wise, creates its own brand of rivalry. Nothing like competing against another club who is aiming to steal, up till then, your exclusive thunder
What if the new club makes the GF in their first year and we're bottom 4. What then.

No two ways about it, I have a feeling we either win or we’re getting pumped

To me, this smells strongly as a very credible performance from the boys under significant adversity, but just pipped at the post by a dodgy bunker call on a rule that's not been called upon since 1840. 😟
Not a mention in the Sydney press of course. 'Warriors go down 4 in a row, improved showing. Officials made mistakes for both sides.'

The fact SJ has 80% trained with the team this week is huge news. That will help TMM immensely understand better when he can chime in and how.

Agree. Lussick giving Egan a spell is immeasurably more valuable than Pompey keeping the pine warm.

If there was an injury in the back line I'm confident we'd be able to shuffle to cover it, we don't need to carry an insurance policy in that 4th spot.
The only problem with that scenario is Tohu/Walker and Egan/Lussick would eat up 4/8 interchanges.

Giving our main middles AFB, Barnett and Tohu who have all been front loaded minutes to start the season due to our injuries is probably more suited at this stage to avoid full burnout.

To be fair its not like TMM is a rookie and is unable to train himself, especially working out plays to get himself involved working with Egan or working out moves for the left when he does get the ball.

We simply play a very right side focussed game. Our attacking plays are on the right side. Our fb mostly chimes in on the right. Our kicks are on the right. Our kick chasers are on the right. Our early set tacklers are on the right. Our main playmaker is on the right. The opposition sends most of the traffic on the right to throw as much defence work on our sole playmaker. If we do go left, the next play we will immediately come back right. Nothing in that changed from dragons game to knights game. How this has not been addressed to date is bewildering.

Lets see this week if we have any other arrows to put on that bow.

It’s still huge news that SJ is training in that hopefully the right side clicks in attack.

We haven’t scored more than 2 tries in games within the first 60 minutes for the last month with a whole lot of late points flattering us.

The right edge flowing with regular points and scoreboard pressure and we will start winning games again.

If a kiwi-based team did that in their first year I'd be over the moon! Not only that, I'd hope it would light a fire in the bellies of The Warriors. Love the Warriors but I wouldn't give a toss if another nz team showed them how to do it!

Means there's a new kid in town and we weren't good enough and they were? Also means we would need to work harder and improve?

Scenario one: We win. Every warriors fan on this message board is to have a parade around the living room
Scenario two: We lose. Bring on next week. If we lose then we sure are not ready for two franchises at this rate.
Don't be so negative re S2 above. Two NZ teams would take the heat off the Warriors who have always shouldered the burden of meeting the expectations of the whole country. This forum can do its part by recognising this fact before decrying our team or its individuals. At the end of the day, it is only a sport but some treat is as life or death. For me, the excellence of rugby league in its present form is to be admired so leave the negativity to the bias of union diehards.

Why does Shaun have to always play right side? A switch to the left with Te Marie on the right would surely baffle the opposition who load their defence on our right, take some pressure off SJ and give TMM more opportunity to prove his worth.

If Pompey stays on the bench Webby actually needs to pull his head in. We need to be aiming for maximum upside, if something goes wrong e.g. egan head knock or an injury to a back, we'll lose but if we have pompey or lussick on the bench we'll most likely lose anyway even if everything goes to plan.

It's the perfect time to bring in Zyon Maiu’u. Doesn't matter if he sucks no one will blame him for losing this one. But potentially he comes on and just brings energy and menace to help stem the tide against the roosters massive bench. It also gives him more experience which is vital with Niukore having such lengthy injuries. Jazz, bless him, we could have used him these last few games. But he ain't shifting the momentum. Give young Zyon Maiu’u a chance to put some hurt in for 20 - 30 mins in the middle.
