What a magical win this was! What better way to snap our losing streak than against Penrith. The whole team pretty much played well. No credit to Webster for the win as he had no choice but to select this team. It shows that the injured players may be the problem all along. Unfortunately Webster will pick them when they return from injury.
You do realize the coaches do a lot more than just pick the team, the problem with a lot of you on here is you have very limited knowledge and have never played the game so you have such simplistic and uneducated opinions.

It doesn't show that the injured players are the problem at all but someone with your limited abilities would probably think that.

Disagree entirely. At the start of the season Egan & SJ were running around just fine.

Walker was great yesterday. Issue is TMM a shit 6, and Tohu is done.
1. At the start of the season (rds 1-2) Metcalf was the half and sj was playing more sided than he is now. Then Walker and Metcalf got injured. So rounds 1-2 are not very relevant to my point.
2. Walker was good yesterday, and so was TMM. Which is consistent with my point.
3. I agree Tohu has been off form, but I think he’s been playing while injured to try and help us through an injury (whether he’s actually helped is debatable). I think he may have good footy left in him.

Correct TMM is struggling at 6.
Went okay yesterday at 7 and I think he is better on the right side rather than the left.
He might have been following instructions to kick deep into the left corner

Just want to throw some of these at you cos 1 isn't enough 😂😂😂😂

It is a talking point with Harris. I really don't know if he would have made us a better outfit yesterday. The only problem I have is we are making compensations for tohu at prop when Walker is on.

We are worried about how to unlock RTS when he should just play his role at centre. Why do we need to reinvent the wheel and make him into something he's probably not just to fit him in?

He started his career on the wing

He can end it there

Twine is my #FB choice right now with CNK #6

That’s the whole catch of being a legend. You HAVE to play on. Look at every great athlete. 90% probably played 1 season too many, took one more fight than they should have.

I would love for Harris to take a couple of weeks off, relax, maybe play some cup. If we go deep in the season we will need him.

He’s still ultra competitive and incredibly crafty to still putting in the effort he does.

1. At the start of the season (rds 1-2) Metcalf was the half and sj was playing more sided than he is now.
I don't agree that SJ was playing more sided in those first couple of rounds or at all the season any different to what we have seen recently. I think from TMM's broken leg last year onwards he has been more dominant and controlling with the ball than he has ever been. Saw some stats somewhere that his average receipts were 53 in 2022, 63 in 2023 and 64 in 2024. Also, TMM has slightly more contributions per game this season than Metcalf was having (and is doing more running at 6 than Metcalf was), so either LM wasn't doing anything with SJ playing more sided or SJ wasn't actually any different than he has been for the last 12 months or so. Or both of those things. I think SJ needs to pull back a little and allow others to contribute.
2. Walker was good yesterday, and so was TMM. Which is consistent with my point.
Walker was very good yesterday, along with the injection straight direct running from other players. There was urgency, enthusiasm and energy in the team that was noticeably different to our performances that looked lackluster over the last rounds. I think this highlights your point 3 as well as perhaps SJ sticking unwaveringly to the same plays over and over. As an aside, look at the try celebration by the team against the Dragons when SJ scored early versus any try we saw yesterday and the difference in energy.

Tohu has looked frail over the last how ever many rounds. He looks busted and was playing like it. I agree, there is still good footy left in him but cant be playing that passing game at the same time as Walker is on. Egan, SJ, TMM and Walker or Harris is a good mix, as long as we play straight and direct and we have those runners capable of doing that.

I cant actually see SJ letting go enough so its probably best we have a player like CNK at 6, a bit like a Shaun Timmins used to be. The good thing about the play on the weekend was that when we went left we did it with players not crammed in to a tight channel.

vs Dragons I remember the 1st try was SJ walking into the in goal to score, since then everything went to pedestrian pace for a month

Our whole attack died when SJ started walking in general. Walking and slowly jogging barely faster than a walk across field looking for a hole to hit.

Last week I posted there were good signs in our 12 minutes without Johnson on the field. I said we looked more purposeful and more direct. Everybody laughed at me and said that I had been on the sauce !!!!
To be fair I'm pretty sure you had been on the sauce. Your observations of that last 15 minutes was fairly astute though

Have some commonsense bro. We all know we're a bunch of keyboard warriors. The whole point of forums like this is to spout nonsense and find other like minded kents like my homie MrFrankWhite MrFrankWhite

Not for people like you to put others down.
